GPWM - Sub-focal Areas

The Sub-focal areas have been proposed out of a list of Thematic and Functional Focal Areas identified as potential future needs of developing countries with regards to waste management. The sub-focal areas are proposed as the priority areas in which the GPWM will initially focus on and are subject to the confirmation of respective lead members. 

The current sub-focal areas are the following:

1. Waste prevention (ISWA)
   
   
2. 3R for waste management (UNCRD)
   
   
3. Waste agricultural biomass (UNEP-IETC)
   
   
4. Integrated solid waste management (UNEP-IETC)
   
   
5. E-waste management (SBC)
   
   
6. Hazardous waste management (SBC)
   
   
7. Marine Litter (UNEP-DEPI)
   

Work plans of each respective sub-focal area will be uploaded once they have been developed.
